Captain McKamie has been an effective expert witness in maritime
litigation throughout the United States and internationally. A
recognized maritime expert Captain McKamie has been twice appointed to the
U. S. Navigation and Safety Advisory Council that provides advice and
counsel to the U. S. Coast Guard and U. S. Secretary of Transportation for
maritime safety issues he has also been appointed to the Board of the
National Academy of Science Transportation Research Board that provides
research support and advice to the legislative and executive branches of
the United States government.
